The First 8 Weeks

Welcome to The First 8 Weeks, your bespoke Csection Recovery Guide with weekly appointments over zoom. This programme will support your early return to recovery and is done from the comfort of your own home. While you are navigating the early stages of Csection Recovery, I will teach you a range of recovery techniques to support you in moving around your postnatal recovery post Csection and be a support system as you learn confidence in your movement post surgery.

The early days and weeks of motherhood can be overwhelming as you navigate life with your newborn baby, new and ever changing hormones, and then a major abdominal surgery on top of this...... it can feel like a lot. As part of your recovery session, you will have the chance to debrief what's been going on for you that week, have a non-judgemental support system and a listening ear to how you are feeling.

Having someone to guide you through the early days and weeks, can be the difference in a wonderful and powerful recovery. And we will take this very much at your pace.

What Happens over the 8 weeks

  • Consultation and post birth check in

  • Breath rehabilitation and pelvic floor support

  • How to move for your newly postnatal body

  • Navigating life with a newborn

  • How to move for your mummy movement patterns

  • Weekly support sessions progressing your recovery journey

  • Progressive movement within your sessions

  • A programme to suit your pace of recovery

  • Ongoing support via a what's app group

  • Birth Trauma Support if your birth hasn't gone the way you imagined or planned

When can i start this?

You can start this as soon as you feel ready, post Csection. Your first appointment can be scheduled the same week as your Csection, so that you get started right away with your recovery sessions.

(Please note, this recovery programme does not take away medical care from your surgical team, GP or midwife. All appointments should still be attended as required and if any referral is needed during your time on the programme, this will be advised, your programme will be paused and will resume once appropriate)
